How to assign an employee to a chat

Learn how to assign, reassign and unassign employees to chats

To assign an employee to a chat, open the desired chat and select the employee in the field above the chat.

To assign a chat to yourself, select the “Assign to me” option or write a message in the chat.

Each new assignment is displayed in the chat.

To unassign chat, just click on the assignment field and choose "Unassigned".

Please note:

  • To be able to assign other employees, they must have access to the Chats section and to the channel in which this chat was created.

  • Only one employee can be assigned to one chat.

An employee can be automatically assigned as the person responsible for a chat in the following cases:

  • when they send a message to a chat that does not yet have an assigned person responsible;

  • when they initiate the chat themselves;

  • When the contact is linked and this contact has an assigned manager. In this case, they will be assigned as the person responsible for the chat (provided that they have access to the channel and the chat has not yet been assigned to another manager).
