We’ve been listening to your feedback and are thrilled to announce a host of improvements to invoice management in Orderry! These updates are designed to streamline your workflow, boost collaboration, and give you greater control over invoices.

What’s New?

  • The Due Date field with customizable default settings

  • Manager assignment for better accountability

  • Separate fields for Client and Payer

  • New filters, settings, and export options for the invoice table

  • Expanded permissions for invoice management

  • Payment creation based on invoice status

Let’s dive into the details of these exciting updates!

The Due Date Field

Keep your invoices on track with the new Due Date field. Set a specific deadline for each invoice, and see at a glance how many days remain before payment is overdue.

In Settings > General, you can define a default invoice validity period (e.g., 30 days) or manually adjust due dates for individual invoices.

Use the Invoice table to monitor upcoming deadlines and avoid overdue payments.

Manager Assignment

Assign a specific Manager to each invoice to ensure clarity and accountability. This feature makes it easier to track responsibilities and follow up with clients.

Separate Fields for Client and Payer

In cases where the client and payer are not the same, you can now separate these fields. Simply untick the Payer is the same as the client checkbox to specify a different payer. This ensures accurate record-keeping and better handles complex payment scenarios.

Coming Soon: Separate variables for client and payer data in print documents.

Enhanced Invoice Table: Filters, New Columns, and Export

Managing your invoices just got easier with powerful new tools:

  • Filters: Search by period, status, manager, client, or payer. (More filters like due date are coming soon.)

  • New Columns: Along with new fields Due date, Manager, and Payer, Invoice table now contains Subtotal and Taxes columns.

  • Export Options: Apply filters, then click Actions > Export to generate a customized report.

Expanded Permissions for Invoice Management

Gain better control over team access to invoices:

  • Define who can create, edit, view, or delete invoices.

  • Set the specific permission for editing issued invoices (in status: Set) for responsible employees.

This update enhances security and accountability across your team.

Payment Creation Based on Invoice Status

Save time by creating payments directly when an invoice is moved to the Paid status.

Note: Currently, payments for invoices and related orders (or tickets/jobs) are not automatically linked. For now, you need to close the related order due to the client's balance manually to keep both statuses synchronized.

Coming Soon: Automatic synchronization of invoice payments with related orders, tickets, or jobs

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning! Here’s what you can look forward to in upcoming updates:

  • Separate variables for client and payer in print documents

  • More filters for the invoice table

  • New endpoints for Public API

  • Customizable statuses

  • Event feed for invoices

  • Recording of invoice creation in event feed of orders, tickets, and jobs

  • List of all client’s invoices in their profile
