At Orderry, we know your business revolves around people — whether they’re clients, suppliers, or team members. That’s why we’re rolling out a set of updates to help you better organize and manage your contact data.

These changes will go live with one of the following product updates, and we want to give you a heads-up so you know what’s coming.

Clients Section Renamed to Contacts

Over time, the Clients section has become much more than just a place for customer records — it also includes supplier and employee data. To better reflect the variety of people and companies you work with, we’re renaming this section to Contacts.

This small but meaningful change will reduce confusion and give you a clearer understanding of the data stored in this section.

Note: In orders, sales, and other documents, the term Client will still be used.

People and Organizations: A Smarter Structure for Your Data

To make contact management even easier, this section will be divided into two tabs:

  • People – individual contacts like customers, employees, or representatives

  • Organizations – companies or institutions

You’ll also be able to link people to organizations. Here's how it works:

  • A person can be linked to one organization

  • An organization can be linked to multiple people

Once linked, this relationship will be visible on the contact’s profile and in documents like orders, sales, and more — giving you richer context at a glance.

Reimagined Tags: More Visual, More Flexible

We’re also enhancing how tags work across the system to give you more customization and clarity.

What’s changing:

  • The "Conflict" checkbox in the client profile will be replaced with a tag, making it easier to manage and more consistent with your workflow.

  • Tags will support colors, just like in Orderry Chats — helping you instantly recognize different contact types.

  • You’ll be able to edit tag names and colors in Settings > Tags to suit your team’s needs.

  • These improved tags will be visible on the contact card in orders, sales, chats, and other modules for quicker access and clearer communication.

We’re making these changes to help you stay more organized and save time when working with your contacts. Once the update is live, we’ll notify you in the app.
