For many businesses, it’s common to have a dedicated manager for each client. Now in Orderry, you can assign managers to contacts too.

This field is optional, so if your business doesn’t follow this practice, you can simply leave it unassigned. However, if you do assign managers to clients, you’ll also be able to filter the Contacts table by manager — selecting one, multiple managers, or contacts that haven’t been assigned to anyone yet.

You can now also configure manager access to contacts more flexibly. In Settings > Roles, you can specify whether a manager should have access to all contacts, only their contacts (where the employee is assigned as the manager), or their contacts + unassigned ones.

Manager data is not yet available in contact import/export, but you can assign a manager to multiple contacts at once using the bulk action.

We’re also working on adding the ability to assign a contact manager via the Orderry Public API.
