Great news for SumUp users! You can now initiate in-person payments directly in Orderry using SumUp terminals or QR codes.
How In-Person Payments Work
When you link a SumUp merchant with in-person payments enabled to a financial account in Orderry, you can start accepting payments via:
a connected SumUp terminal, or
a printed QR code (depending on the merchant settings)
To initiate a payment, simply select this financial account in the payment window.
Payment time limits
Terminal payments: the client has 5 minutes to complete the payment
QR code payments: the client has 15 minutes to complete the payment
If the payment expires, you’ll need to initiate it again.
How to Enable In-Person Payments
If you already use the SumUp integration, follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Integrations and open the SumUp integration.
Edit an existing merchant or add a new one.
Enable In-person payments for this merchant.
Choose how you want to accept payments:
Terminal, or
QR code (to download and print the QR code, save the merchant settings and open them again).
Save the settings.
Important: Only one merchant with in-person payments enabled can be linked to a single financial account. If you want to accept in-person payments using different merchants, each merchant must be linked to a separate financial account.
New to the SumUp Integration?
If you haven’t connected SumUp to Orderry yet, follow the step-by-step integration guide. This will allow you to:
accept in-person payments,
create payment links, and
receive payments via an order’s public page.
Transaction Fees for In-Person Payments
SumUp applies different fees to in-person transactions depending on your country and pricing plan. For accurate details, check the SumUp pricing page and make sure to select your country.
