Other System Updates in March: Enhanced Notifications and More

Send automatic notifications for orders and estimates separately and use improved reminders for clients

Separated Notifications for Orders and Estimates

Previously, Orderry used the same external notification settings for orders (tickets/jobs) and estimates, which in some cases could confuse users and their clients. To provide clearer logic for client notifications, we’ve separated them.

You can now set up automatic client notifications for order events and estimate events independently using different templates, sending methods, and other settings without mixing their logic.

All previously configured notifications for orders have been automatically copied to estimate notifications using the same templates (order variables continue to work for estimates as well).

For detailed instructions, please see our step-by-step guide on configuring client notifications.

Improved Client Reminders

Previously, if an order or booking was created or updated and the start time was earlier than the configured “Remind in” interval (for example, the reminder was set to 1 hour before the start, but the appointment began in 30 minutes), the reminder was sent immediately.

To avoid any confusion, we’ve fixed this reminder behavior. From now on, if the calculated reminder time is already in the past at the moment of order or booking creation or update, the reminder will not be sent.
