Managing inventory shortages is now even easier. On the Client Backorders and Products to Reorder pages, you can quickly check whether the required product should be ordered from a supplier or transferred from another warehouse. If the item is already available elsewhere, simply create a transfer request directly from the page and move stock where it's needed most.
How It Helps
When you don’t have enough products to fulfill a customer order or replenish stock, creating a Purchase Order isn’t always necessary. The required items may already be available in another warehouse, branch, location, or even in a field team’s inventory.
With the new transfer request feature, you can instantly check stock availability across all locations and move products where they’re needed most.
This is especially useful if your company receives products at a central warehouse and then distributes them to branches or service teams. Instead of creating unnecessary Purchase Orders, you can quickly transfer existing stock with just a few clicks.
With this update, you can:
Fulfill customer orders and cover stock demand faster without additional purchases
Avoid duplicate Purchase Orders
Make better use of inventory across warehouses, branches, and field teams
Reduce excess stock and improve inventory control
New "Stock" Column on the Client Backorders and Products to Reorder Pages
We've added a new Stock column to the Client Backorders and Products to Reorder pages. It shows whether the required product is available in other warehouses and how many units are currently in stock.
On the Products to Reorder page, the system excludes the warehouse that needs replenishment from the calculation. This gives you a clear view of the stock available for transfer from other warehouses.
Hover over the stock quantity to see a warehouse-by-warehouse breakdown, or click it to open the product card directly on the Stock tab for more details.
Create Product Transfers Directly from Client Backorders and Products to Reorder
Previously, if you wanted to cover product demand by transferring stock between warehouses or locations, you had to create a transfer in a separate section and add products manually. Now, you can create transfer requests directly from the Client Backorders and Products to Reorder pages.
Select the required products using the checkboxes.
Click Actions and choose Transfer.
Next, select the warehouse from which the products will be transferred.
When creating a transfer from the Products to Reorder page, the source warehouse will be selected automatically if all chosen products belong to the same warehouse. The required product quantities will also be added automatically.
The system calculates transfer quantities based on both current demand and available stock. The quantity added to the transfer will never exceed the amount needed or the stock available in the selected warehouse.
Example 1: You need 5 units to replenish stock, and another warehouse has 8 units available. The transfer will automatically include 5 units.
Example 2: You need 5 units, but another warehouse only has 3 units available. In this case, all 3 available units will be added to the transfer.
How Orderry Accounts for Created Transfers
Once a transfer is created, Orderry automatically updates product demand based on the quantities already being transferred.
For example, if an order requires 5 units of a product and you create a transfer for 3 units, the remaining demand will be reduced to 2 units. This helps prevent duplicate transfers or unnecessary Purchase Orders for products that are already on the way.
If a transfer is canceled, a product is removed from the transfer, or the transfer quantity is reduced, the corresponding quantity will automatically be added back to the demand.
How This Works for Client Orders
For transfers created from the Client Backorders page, Orderry maintains a direct link between the transfer, the client order, and the specific product item.
When the transferred product arrives, the system automatically reserves it for the corresponding client order. This ensures the item doesn't get mixed into general stock and makes it easy to see exactly which order the transfer was created for.
As a result, products reach the right orders faster, while stock movements remain fully traceable throughout the process.
Use Cases
Auto repair shops, service centers, and repair workshops
A repair requires a specific part that is unavailable in the main warehouse but is in stock at a store location or another service center within the network. Instead of creating a new Purchase Order, the manager can immediately see the available stock in Client Backorders and create a transfer request.
This helps complete repairs faster, makes better use of existing inventory, and reduces unnecessary purchasing costs.
Retail stores with multiple warehouses
A store needs to replenish a product, while sufficient stock is already available in a central warehouse or another retail location. Rather than ordering from a supplier, the manager creates a transfer request.
This helps maintain optimal stock levels across locations and avoid unnecessary purchases.
Online stores and e-commerce businesses
A customer places an order, but the product is unavailable in the warehouse that typically fulfills shipments. The item is, however, available in another warehouse. The manager creates a transfer request, and the system keeps the connection between the transfer and the customer order.
Once the product arrives, it can be shipped immediately without delays or confusion about which order it belongs to.
Field services and mobile teams
Technicians need consumables or spare parts for installation or maintenance jobs. The required items are available in another team's inventory or warehouse. Instead of placing a new order, the manager creates a transfer request and covers the demand using existing stock.
This helps keep jobs moving without delays while reducing purchasing costs.
What This Update Helps You Achieve
With these improvements, you can quickly decide whether a product should be purchased or transferred from another warehouse. You'll be able to:
Make better use of inventory across all locations
Reduce unnecessary purchases
Fulfill customer orders faster
Improve stock visibility across warehouses and teams
Simplify inventory replenishment workflows
These features are especially valuable for businesses operating multiple warehouses, stores, branches, service centers, or field teams.
