Role permissions in finance: cash flow items and deleted transactions

Role settings now include two new options that help keep your finances under control – especially when several people work with the cash desk.

Allowed cash flow items

You can now define which cash flow items are available to employees in each role. They won't see the remaining items in payment forms and won't be able to use them. You can set this up in Settings → Employees → Roles, in the Finance block – the Cash flow items field.

For example, a cashier at a location only needs items for client payments and refunds. Allow only those for their role – and they won't be able to accidentally record a rent or tax expense.

The restriction applies wherever an employee creates a payment and complements the role's existing permissions. For roles without the restriction, everything works as before.

Please note: if only certain items are selected for a role, new items you create won't be added to that list – add them manually.

Viewing deleted transactions

In Settings → Employees → Roles, in the Finance block, there's a new permission: Can view deleted account transactions. Employees with this permission see deleted transactions in the financial account history; those without it see only active ones, including when printing and exporting.

This way, the owner and accountant can review the full history for audits, while cashiers won't be distracted by deleted records. The financial account balance is the same for everyone.

By default, the permission is granted to all roles, so nothing changes after the update – you can restrict access at any time in the role settings.
