The Board is a view in the “Tasks” module where tasks are displayed as cards in columns. It’s helpful when there are many tasks and they’re assigned to several employees.
How to switch to the Board
On the “Tasks” page, select the “Board” view. Tasks will be displayed as cards in columns. You can return to the list at any time by switching to “Table” view.
Grouping Tasks on the Board
Tasks on the board can be grouped in three ways. The grouping you choose determines which columns you see and what happens when you drag a card.
By status
The columns correspond to task statuses. This option is useful for seeing what stage each task is at.
By assignee
The columns correspond to employees. This option is particularly useful for evenly distributing the workload. Tasks without an assignee are grouped in a separate column.
By Due Date
Tasks are organized into the “Overdue,” “Today,” “This Week,” and “Upcoming” columns. This option is suitable for planning your day and week.
Task Cards
Each card represents a single task. It displays the main fields: status, assignee, priority, and due date. You can edit these fields directly on the card without opening the task: click on the desired field and select a new value.
In the column, cards are sorted by due date: overdue tasks are always at the top, followed by tasks with the nearest due date.
Dragging Cards
To move a task, simply drag its card to another column. Exactly what changes depends on the grouping.
Grouping by Status
When you drag a card, the task’s status changes. The same rules apply as when changing the status within the task itself:
status columns that a task cannot be moved to become inactive during dragging;
if the status requires a comment, the system will prompt you for one.
Grouping by Assignee
When you drag a card, the assignee changes.
If a task has multiple assignees, the card appears in each of their columns. When you drag the card, only the assignee from whose column you moved the card is replaced. The other assignees remain unchanged.
Grouping by due date
When you drag and drop, the due date changes:
to today;
to the last day of the current week;
to one week from now.
