We continue expanding the capabilities of Public API v2 in Orderry. You can now manage employee tasks via the API, set minimum and maximum stock levels for products in warehouses, and link invoices to orders more precisely. This helps you sync data with other systems and avoid entering it manually. We have also added new webhooks for tasks.

Tasks via API

Public API v2 now includes endpoints for working with tasks. They support task statuses and priority, so the data in the API matches what you see in Orderry.

Now you can:

  • get a list of tasks or a single task with its name, description, status, priority, author, assignees, due date, and linked record;

  • create, edit, and delete tasks;

  • change a task's status and add comments to it;

  • get a list of task statuses.

You can filter tasks by status, priority, author, assignees, creation date, and due date. There are also separate filters for overdue tasks and tasks without assignees. You can sort the list by creation date, modification date, due date, or priority.

Please note: a new task is always created in the initial status, and you can change it with a separate request. Via the API, you can only set a status that is available to the employee's role, just like in the web version. A status change made via the API is recorded in the task the same way as a manual change.

We have also added new webhooks for tasks – for status and priority changes. This way, other systems learn about these changes right away, without regular API requests. To connect them, select the Status changed and Priority changed events under Tasks when setting up a webhook.

Minimum and maximum stock levels

Minimum and maximum stock levels for products can now be set via the API – separately for each warehouse. You can:

  • get the minimum and maximum stock levels of a product in all warehouses or in a specific warehouse;

  • set and change them for a warehouse;

  • remove them for a warehouse if they are no longer needed.

Products with stock below the minimum level appear on the Products to reorder page. If you plan purchases in another system, you can transfer these settings from it automatically instead of filling in product cards manually.

Invoices and orders

We have also improved the endpoints for working with invoices to make it easier to link invoices to orders. Now:

  • invoice items contain the ID of the order they were added from;

  • you can filter the list of invoices by order – you will get all invoices that contain at least one item from that order;

  • a new endpoint lets you add order items to an invoice.

How the new endpoints help your business

For example, you can use them to:

  • sync tasks with task trackers and employee calendars;

  • automatically create tasks based on events in other systems – for example, a reminder to call a client back;

  • build custom reports on task completion and overdue tasks;

  • update minimum and maximum stock levels for many products and warehouses at once – for example, before the season;

  • automatically invoice order items and check that everything has already been billed to the client.

Access to endpoints

An API key belongs to a specific Orderry employee and has the same access permissions as that employee. For example, to work with tasks via the API, the employee needs the corresponding role permissions: to view, create, edit, or delete tasks.
