How To Change Work Order Statuses

Find out what methods of changing the work order status are available in Orderry

Create and control your work order business processes with work order statuses. Find out more about work order statuses here.

The newly created work orders obtain the “New” status by default. You can configure and set another initial status for every work order type.

There are three ways you can change the work order status:

1. In the Work Orders Table

Press the work order status in the table and select the needed one from a dropdown list.

2. In the Work Order Profile

Open the work order profile, hit the status that is under the work order number, and select the needed one from a dropdown list.

Remember: Work Order statuses list only contains ones that the current employee can transfer the work order to from the current status. Configure your status transfer rules and employee permissions on the Settings > Statuses > Work Orders page.

3. In the Work Order Scheduler.

In the Scheduler, find the desired order and move the cursor over it to open the order card. Click on the order status and select the desired status from the list.

4. In the board of work orders mode

In the board of work orders mode, there are 3 ways to change the status of a work order:

1 option. To change the work order status, press and hold the work order card, then drag it to the desired column. After dragging, the work order status is automatically updated in the system.

2 option. Click on the work order status and select the next one.

3 option. Open the desired document, click on the status and select the one you want to replace it with. Click "Save" to move the work order to the next status.
