With the introduction of Estimates as a standalone document in Orderry, we also introduced you to the online acceptance form: sleek design, a comprehensive list of all items included in the document, and financial details right at your fingertips. Moreover, your clients can easily accept or decline the document directly on this form.
This sparked a wave of requests from our Orderry users, including demands for a similar form for work orders, the ability to swiftly copy form links and send them to clients in chats, customizable displaying of acceptance buttons, and automatic status updates based on client actions on the public form.
So, in this article, we're diving into the nifty improvements Orderry has cooked up to address these needs.
Copy and Send Work Order and Estimate Public Links to Clients
Now, within the dialog window of a created work order or estimate, under the "Services and Products" tab, hit "Actions" and "Copy public link" to swiftly save it to your clipboard.
Imagine this scenario: a potential client messages you via Instagram or Facebook, inquiring about the cost of a particular service. With just a few clicks in the chat sidebar, you can whip up a new estimate, add the necessary services and products, copy the public link, and shoot it to the client for review. From there, the client decides whether to accept or decline.
And hey, if you're not using estimates, the same process applies to work orders! Clicking on that link opens up a similar form with the option to accept or decline the document.
And speaking of acceptance, the presence of these buttons on the public form is now customizable.
Customize Displaying the Acceptance Buttons and Automatic Status Updates
Links to public order and estimate forms, just like the forms themselves, are accessible in any document status. However, you can now specify in which order or estimate status to display acceptance buttons. If these buttons are enabled for a status, you can also immediately configure automatic status changes for accepted and declined documents.
For example, you could enable acceptance buttons for the "Sent" status on estimates and set up automatic conversion to the "Order Created" status for accepted documents. So, when you send the public link to a client and they click "Accept," the estimate automatically transforms into a work order.
Furthermore, we plan to further enhance our public form for work orders and estimates by enabling payments directly through them. Imagine your clients being able to complete the entire cycle:
Review document details.
Accept or decline the estimate.
And finally, make payments for your services.
But before we dive into that, we'll be prepping our Finance features in Orderry and adding integrations with payment services and banks.
