We have exciting news: Orderry now offers Bundles – a new feature that allows you to combine services and products to save time, streamline work orders, estimates, and invoices, and manage pricing more flexibly.

The Benefits of Bundles

Almost every service-based business offers comprehensive packages and promotional product deals or services requiring spare parts and consumables. For example:

  • Auto repair shops perform comprehensive maintenance with oil and filter changes.

  • Service centers replace smartphone screens with free protective film application.

  • Appliance repair services fix devices using spare parts (like replacing a washing machine drain pump).

  • Retail businesses sell promotional product bundles where buying two specific items gets you a third for free.

  • Car washes offer complete interior and exterior cleaning with detailing services.

  • Dry cleaners provide services with delivery.

  • HVAC businesses sell air conditioners with free installation or discounts on specific service packages.

  • Small-scale manufacturers produce items using a set amount of materials based on the product.

  • Clinics offer comprehensive health check-ups or analysis packages.

With Bundles, you can seamlessly implement these scenarios in Orderry. Bundles save you time when filling out work orders and estimates. Create a bundle by adding the necessary services and products, specifying their quantities, and then adding all items from the bundle to the work order or estimate with a single click.

Bundles also make running promotions easy. For example, when selling two specific products, the customer gets a third for free, or customers receive a discount when ordering a service package. You can set prices and discounts for items in Bundles that differ from your standard account settings.

Additionally, Bundles reduce the likelihood of human error, such as forgetting to add a consumable or the wrong item. The responsible person needs to check the correct contents of bundles once, and other employees can use them afterward without worry.

Creating Bundles

You can create bundles of services and products on the My Company section's new page. Here, you can create, edit, and delete unlimited bundles.

Note that you also have new permissions settings for these actions on the Settings > Employees > Roles page. Read more about employee permissions in the My Company section.

Each bundle can have its name, list of items, description, and barcode. This article provides a step-by-step guide on creating Bundles.

Adding Bundles to Work Orders, Estimates, and Invoices

As mentioned earlier, using bundles significantly speeds up filling work orders. To add a bundle to a work order, scan its barcode, enter its name, or manually select it from the list using the search filter.

You can add bundles to invoices in the Finance section almost the same way. The only difference is that the search does not have a filter.

Note that products from bundles are added without being deducted from stock. So, if your account doesn't allow adding products without stock deduction, only services from bundles will be added. A step-by-step guide on working with incomplete orders is available here.

Future Plans for Bundles and Other Orderry Features

Currently, we have introduced the initial version of Bundles in Orderry. Here's what we plan next:

  • The ability to use Bundles in sales

  • Methods for working with Bundles via the public API

  • The ability to export and import Bundles

  • The ability to customize Bundle categories

We are also working on the order Kanban board, editing the supplier return document, the ability to clone orders, and some improvements for the Finance section.
