Exciting news for our auto service industry users! The Orderry Work Orders mobile app now lets you work even faster and more conveniently: snap a photo of a vehicle's VIN during work order creation, and the system will automatically identify the make, model, and other information available in the database.

In the web version of Orderry, users on the Startup plan and higher already had access to the vehicle VIN lookup. With this integration activated, you can save even more time with the new mobile app feature.

When adding a vehicle to a work order, tap the VIN field, then tap the Recognize button and simply take a photo of the code. You can photograph the VIN at the bottom of the windshield, on the car doors, in the vehicle registration documents, or anywhere where all 17 characters of the VIN code are clearly visible.

That’s it! The other vehicle fields will be filled in automatically according to the integration settings.

You'll find the step-by-step guide to setting up the VIN Lookup integration here.

Update your mobile app to the latest version to enjoy this new feature. If you still need to install it, now is the perfect time. Use this link to download the Orderry Work Orders app.

Meanwhile, we're working on supporting estimates and incomplete work orders in the mobile app. In the web version of Orderry, you can soon expect:

  • The ability to duplicate work orders with all their contents

  • Editing taxes directly in work orders and sales

  • Starting conversations with customers first in Chats via WhatsApp, and SMS by Twilio channels

  • A board view for work orders where they are grouped by status with a drug-and-drop feature

Please get in touch with our Support team via chat if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about this update or Orderry in general. We value your feedback.
