In Orderry, you can copy an already created work order. Copying a work order is necessary to simplify and optimize the workflow.

Make sure you have the appropriate access rights to perform this operation. Read more about access rights in this article.

Step 1. On the Workflows page, select the work order you want to copy and open it.

Step 2. In the order window, click on the Actions button and select the Duplicate option.

After that, the window for creating a new work order opens with the values filled in, except for the date of readiness.

Please note that a work order cannot be copied if it contains a deleted client or a written-off asset.

Step 3. Products and services

All products and services are duplicated into a new work order with the same quantity and price. The product is added with a mark "Inventory deduction is required".

If there is at least one incomplete product in the work order, you will not be able to move the work order to the finished or closed status.

To complete the work order, click on the product and add the quantity. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Select the warehouse and quantity from which to pick the work order.

  2. Add this product to your warehouse via posting.

Important: to add products without write-offs for employees, you need to enable the "Can add products without deduction" permission in Settings > Employees > Roles in the Work Orders section.

Step 4. Click the "Save" button. Done! The copied work order is created.

If you need to create multiple work orders from the same customer but with different products or services, you can use the following methods:

1. Connecting the Orderry companion plugin. With this integration, you will be able to create work orders from one customer with different products in bulk. In this article, you will learn how to install and connect this integration.

2. If you need to accept several work orders from the same customer, when creating a work order, click the "Save and create another" button. This method saves general information about the order (customer, payer, and work order type).
