The Orderry allows you to automatically generate payment links for invoices. This greatly simplifies your work and, most importantly, makes the payment process easier and more convenient for your customers.
To use this feature, you need to connect one of the available integrations with payment services: Stripe. Check out the list of integrations with payment services in Orderry.
Step 1. Setting up online payments in invoices
To set up online payments in invoices, go to Settings > General > Invoices and check the Enable online payments checkbox to enable automatic creation of payment links for invoices. To use this feature, you need to connect one of the integrations with payment services: Stripe.
After checking this box:
Merchant - specify the merchant who will receive payments via payment links;
Create payment link in status - select the status of the invoice for which the payment link will be created.
If paid, change invoice status - select the status to which the invoice should be changed if the payment link has been paid.
After making the settings, click the Save button.
Step 2. How payment links are automatically created in an invoice
According to the settings, after the created invoice is transferred to the status in which a payment link is automatically created, it is displayed in the invoice dialog window.
Please note that currently, payment links created in the invoice are only displayed in the invoice dialog window
After clicking, a dialog box with information about the online payment will open. From here, you can follow the link, copy it to send to the client, or delete it if necessary.
Please note that the link is generated only when the invoice is first set to the corresponding status. Resetting this status will create a new link only if the previous one has been deleted.
Step 3. Sending a payment link for an invoice to customers
There are several ways to send a payment link for an invoice to a customer:
Method 1. Open the payment link dialog box for the invoice and copy it. After that, you can send the copied link to the customer manually in a convenient way (in chats, SMS, or messengers).
Method 2. Using the {Invoice Payment URL} variable in the document template for invoices and external notification templates, you can send a document to the customer with a link to the payment.
Once the variable has been added to the template, the link will be displayed in the invoice document when it is sent.
To send an email notification with a payment link, go to the invoice dialog box, click Actions, and select Send Email.
In the new window, check that everything is correct, change the template if necessary, and attach the document to be sent.
Features of individual payment services
Please note that there may be some differences in how payment links work depending on the merchant service through which they are created.
Stripe
We are currently unable to pass tax information to Stripe if both embedded and imposed taxes apply to a product or service.
If you create payment links via Stripe, the number of products and services must always be a whole number.
For Stripe, the tax Base salary must always be a whole number.
Please take this information into account when making online payments for invoices.
