Until now, you could enable expiration tracking for selected products in Orderry and monitor them in the Expiring Inventory report by two statuses: Normal and Expired. Now, on the Business and Enterprise plans, you can also set up two-level alerts for upcoming expiration to prevent selling expired products.

In the product profile, for products with expiration tracking enabled, you’ll find two new settings:

  • Enable expiring soon alert — products whose expiration date falls within the specified number of days or months will be marked with the Expiring Soon label.

  • Enable critical alert — products whose expiration date falls within the specified number of days or months will be marked with the Critical label. The value you set here must be less than the one for the Expiring Soon alert.

Alerts will appear everywhere in Orderry where product stock is displayed: directly in the Stock table, in the product profile, in orders, sales, and so on.

Expiration statuses are shown with the following icons:

  • Gray clock — Normal expiration date

  • Yellow clock outline — Expiring soon

  • Solid yellow clock — Critical

  • Red clock — Expired

In the Expiring Inventory report, these are displayed as statuses. This means you can filter the report by these statuses and take action to sell products before their expiration.
