How to Process a Client Refund from a Sale

How to process a refund for a sale?

Step 1. Open the sale for which you want to issue a refund.

Step 2. At the bottom, click the “Actions” button, and then click “Issue refund.”

Step 3. Specify the client for processing the sales refund.

Important: to comply with international financial standards, you must specify the client when returning products.

Step 4. Specify the number of services or products to be refunded. If the goods are serialized, then you need to select the appropriate serial numbers.

Step 5. Click Create to process the refund. Or select Save and process return to first create a refund and then proceed to process the return in a new window.

Step 6. If you selected “Save and create a return,” click “Create” in the refund window. After that, in the sales expense creation window, specify the responsible employee, select the payment form and the account from which the funds will be debited.

You can make a refund “To balance”, i.e. return the money to the client later.

Please note that to pay to balance, you must enable the corresponding right “Can make payments to client balance” in the employee role settings.

Step 7. If necessary, change the comment and click the “Create” button.

The created refund is displayed on the “Finance > Refunds” page.
