In the Orderry, you can process a return or refund for a product or service from a customer by returning the items from the sale back to the warehouse or refunding the customer. To do this, follow these steps:

How to process a return from a sale?

Step 1. Open the sale for which you want to make a return.

Step 2. At the bottom, click the “Actions” button, and then click “Process return.”

Step 3. Specify the customer and warehouse to which the goods should be returned. If only services were sold, there is no need to specify a warehouse.

Important: to comply with international financial standards, you must specify the customer when making a return.

Step 4. Specify the quantity of services or goods to be returned and the cell (if you use Bin Locations). If the goods are serialized, then you need to select the appropriate serial numbers.

Step 5. Click the Create button to create only a return. Click the Save and process refund button to create a return and process a refund to the customer.

Step 6. If you selected “Save and create refund”, click “Create” in the refund window. After that, in the sales expense creation window, specify the responsible employee, select the payment form and the account from which the funds will be debited.

You can make a refund “To balance”, i.e. return the money to the customer later.

Please note that to pay to balance, you must enable the corresponding right “Can make payments to customer balance in the employee role settings.

Step 7. If necessary, change the comment and click the “Create” button.

The created refund is displayed on the “Finance > Refunds” page, and the created return is displayed on the Warehouse > Returns > Returns from customers page.
