Name Sync with Linked Contacts

Now it’s easier to understand exactly who you’re talking to in chats. Orderry automatically updates the participant’s name when you link a chat to a contact from your database.

For example, if a client messages you from different messengers (which appear as separate chats in the system) and uses different names or usernames, all chats will display a single name from the linked contact.

What’s more, if you update the contact’s first or last name, it will automatically update across all linked chats.

If you unlink a contact from a chat, the last synced name will remain until you link the chat to another contact.

New Employee Access Settings for Chats

You can now configure chat access for each role in Settings > Employees > Roles and choose which chats employees can see:

  • All chats

  • My chats — only chats assigned to that employee

  • My chats + Unassigned — chats assigned to that employee, plus chats that don’t have a responsible employee yet

This helps you control employee access to customer chats based on your company’s workflow.
