Other System Updates in September: Service Visibility, Contact Tags, Product Photos, and More

A few more small updates in Orderry this month – more control over online bookings, easier search for contacts from calls, and product photos from import.

Service visibility on the public page

The service card now has an Available for online booking checkbox – you decide which services clients see on your public page. Until now, this depended on whether the service had a duration.

How the setting works

The checkbox is in the service card, in the Online booking section. When it's on, clients see the service among those available for booking. When it's off, they don't – but you can still add this service to a booking manually. Duration no longer affects visibility.

You won't need to set everything up from scratch – during the update, the checkbox was turned on for the services that already appeared on the public page. From there, you set the visibility of each service yourself.

Services without a duration

These services can also be opened for online booking. Clients will see the name, price, and start time of the booking – without a duration and without the option to add the booking to their calendar. In your schedule, the booking will take up the time slot set in your public page settings.

Tags for contacts created from calls

The call automation settings now have a Tags field. Contacts that the system creates after a call get the configured tags right away – until now, the only way to tell them apart from the rest of your database was by name.

What this gives you

In Contacts, you can filter by tag to see everyone who entered your database after a call. This lets you gauge how many contacts calls bring in, set up a separate campaign for them, or pass them on to the right manager.

How to add tags

Go to Settings → Telephony → Automation. The field sits next to the Create contacts for calls option. Pick existing tags or create new ones – just like in Contacts. There is no limit on the number.

The setting applies to all telephony integrations. Only the contacts the automation creates after the update will get the tags. If you leave the field empty, nothing changes.

Product photos during import

Products coming in from a connected store are now imported together with their photos. Just like in your store: the main photo stays the main one on the product card, and the rest become additional ones. Until now, product cards arrived without images, and photos had to be added by hand.

Where it works

For now, photos are imported from WooCommerce. The remaining Ecommerce Connect integrations are already in the works.

Photos are loaded after the products themselves, so they won't show up on the cards right away – but order import runs without delays.
