Tax Synchronization for WooCommerce

You can now match WooCommerce tax rates with taxes in Orderry – and the system will automatically apply the right tax to order items.

Written by Hanna

If your WooCommerce store uses several tax rates, you previously had to check and correct them manually for every order. Now you only need to match WooCommerce rates with Orderry taxes once – everything else happens automatically.

Tax mapping in WooCommerce settings

Tax mapping is now available in Ecommerce Connect settings for WooCommerce shops. When you connect a new shop, it appears right before status mapping. For shops that are already connected, you can set up or change tax mapping at any time.

Less manual work with taxes in orders

For each WooCommerce tax rate, with its name and percentage, you select the matching tax from your list in the Settings > Finance > Taxes section. After that, when an order is imported or updated, the right tax is automatically applied to each order item – based on which rate is assigned to that item in WooCommerce.

Good to know

  • If you later change a rate's name or percentage in WooCommerce, the mapping won't break – the system relies on the rate itself, not its name or value.

  • If a tax rate isn't mapped – or a previously mapped WooCommerce/Orderry tax is no longer available – this won't block the order from being imported. That item will simply stay without a tax until you update the mapping in the integration settings.

  • Mapping only works one way – from WooCommerce to Orderry. You can't create or edit tax rates in WooCommerce from Orderry.
